landscapes
In my paintings I aim to evoke a sense of lost or hidden landscape, and tap into places known and as yet undiscovered. For me, this creates connection and a feeling of possibility.
I love to work with different media and textures as a response to mood and energy in the natural world. I’m drawn to wild places, the coast and dramatic skies. These themes are elemental and timeless, and I try and create those qualities in my work.
Contemporary, mixed media landscapes
I’m a contemporary artist working in mixed media. My work is semi-abstract, dynamic and expressive. I’m inspired by the effects of time on the landscape, and how it changes with season, weather and tide. I love working with a mix of materials and finding new ways to use them. I experiment a lot with different surfaces, techniques, and media.
